Holy Island

Tuesday the 29th of October we went to a place called Holy Island. As you might have guessed, it was an Island. And Holy, apparently. It can only be reached at certain times because of the water height, and sometimes the water rises so high you can’t get to it. We didn’t have any problems though!

The sun decided to show as well, which did make up for the wind a bit. This was our first stop on our way back to York from Edinburgh, and we only had an hour before we had to be back in the coach. It was stunning!

Sadly, we couldn’t go inside as we were running out of time and had to leave so we would make it back to the bus. The castle was beautiful and the little village beneath was super cute.

Holy Island was a nice experience, although we didn’t have time to buy food and were starving! We might have spent about 45 minutes at the beach, taking pictures. Oops. We were all getting pretty excited for our next stop, Alnwick. Although Holy Island was gorgeous, it has nothing to do with Harry Potter so yeah.
