London Day 2

Published February 21, 2014 by iwouldlikeacupoftea

The day started off with a guided walk through the city. The walk I went on was “Old city” which started at st. paul’s station. It lasted for a little bit over an hour and it was pretty interesting!

We visited the st paul’s church and got to know some of the history.

After that, we got to see the memorial to heroic self sacrifice, which was a wall listed with people who died saving someone else.

The walk came to an end nearby Bank, and we stopped to get information about some of the buildings.

I met up with some of my other friends to go see Big Ben and go on the London eye. It was so busy that crossing the bridge was a very tricky job, and we had to wait in line for the London eye for almost two hours. We were all getting pretty tired and my feet were hurting from walking around, so the long line gave us a break.

Although the wait was very long, it was worth it! We got a great view of London and since it was a sunny day, we could see far.

After London eye, we headed to Buckingham palace. It was getting pretty late so it wasn’t too busy. I was just excited to see the guards and the horses, but they weren’t there. The disappointment was real. It was still a nice experience though!

The sun was going down, which made taking pictures a bit tricky. I still got some decent ones though, but it looked so much better in real life! As it always does, haha. I went to Buckingham palace again, where I took better pictures so I’ll share those later!
