I’m back with another blog about a gig! I know the last one was a week ago but hey, there is never too much music! Yet again it’s a band I’ve not blogged about, but that deserve to be mentioned, King No-one. They had a launch gig for their new album, Millennium!
I’ve had a pretty bad week at college where I got ill and which started with teachers reminding us that exams are in 20 days and most of us have no chance. Yhanks for the motivational speech. Wednesday I was supposed to have a Spanish speaking exam, which I was not prepared for. Luckily it got moved to the next day and I have never revised for anything more in my life. I’m not even kidding, I woke up at 6am and thought “Antes de ir” which is the first sentence of my presentation. Not good. Then I went to my sociology class, already in a bad mood, and what could make it worse? A surprise mock! And then Guess what? the Spanish Exam got moved until Friday.. I wasn’t happy, as I just wanted to be done with it and accept my failure. Did I mention I had stayed up for 48 hours to revise?
Anyways, long story short(er), after an hour delay I took the exam and it was terrifying, but I passed!!! And I have another Spanish speaking exam, the joy.
Okay, on to the fun part, the gig
Also, while we were waiting for the band to set up their instruments, they played A Red Hot Chili Peppers song and if you know me, you know how I feel about them. I’m probably a little too passionate about them, but In my opinion, you just need one band like that. (Not that I only have one, because I feel quite strongly about Mumford and sons as well.) Anyways, I keep getting off topic.
They were really good and awfully charming on stage!
The second band were High Tyde, who came all the way from Brighton.
A band that is more fun and engaging than these boys will be hard to find! They play some modern and funky indie that makes you want to dance.
King No-One has put a lot of hard work into their music, which you definitely notice! With well written songs and a bunch of talented musicians, they are a band that give you a great experience when it comes to music. They are passionate about what they are doing, which is too rare these days.
They ended with the song “Moonstruck” which is one of my favorites, and it was awesome live!
Yay for pictures with flash.
Also, it was so hot in the venue! Seriously, what was up with that? I do not enjoy being in a room full of sweaty dancing people. Oh well, I guess it’s just a part of the experience.
Signed CDS, thats two of them in 8 days, I’m doing good.
Since it was raining and I was wearing flats, I decided to take them off and walk to the bus stop without shoes. Camilla told me I couldn’t since I’m already Ill, but then again I don’t follow rules. Sorry mum. My tattoo has almost fully healed as well, and I couldn’t be happier with it!
If you get the chance, I’d give King No-one’s album Millennium a listen, because it’s fantastic and has some amazing songs, so pick it up if you can!
